Today - well It's Saturday , Iv'e just done the hotel and car hire bookings for our trip to the Gold Coast. We will be leaving sometime around the middle of the day on Tuesday. We will then go and get the truck loaded and hit the road. Craig says we should get up there in around 12 hours, he is hoping to arrive at the place we have to go to near Brisbane at around 2 am ish - so that he has enough time to catch some sleep.
Then we will drop the truck off around 7 am and go pick up the hire car & head off to a theme park for the day before we book into our favourite hotel down in Surfers.
And Of course we will be celebrating Andy's 9th Birthday. So he is over the moon - it will possibly be his best ever birthday - going in the truck & then to a theme park & then to his favourite hotel in the whole world. Luckily he got given a portable dvd player thingy so he can watch his DVD's in the truck on his way up to QLD.
Andy will be lucky though as he will get to sit in the passengers seat the whole way, and although not overly comfortable he will be safe and he should be able to get some sleep. Me on the other hand, I'll get comfort sleep, but when awake I have to sit on the bed, as the truck only has 2 seats!!
I don't want Andy travelling on the bed as it wouldn't be all that safe if there were an accident.
Anyways I'm excited about it all. And am now on to doing some research on the kind of tattoo I want to get to celebrate turning 27 and having decided to start my life over.
I watched a program about tattooing last night and a guy on it said that he had tattoo's that told the story of his life, each one was symbolic of a certain point in his life - although I already had decided to get A tattoo - hearing and understanding that has pushed me to decide that I won't stop at one. I won't get more than 1 or 2 this time, but in the future I will get more to symbolise future events.
Anyways some Tattoo links and pictures etc.
A K tattoo - I've wanted to get a K tattoo for years ~ to celebrate and commemorate Kurt Cobain, we have the same birth date feb 20th & he died at 27, so now that I just turned 27 I wish to get my K tattoo. As a teen I carved a K into my chest with a razor blade, kind of over my sternum, now I wish to get a tattoo there, similair to the way his widow, Courtney Love did in these pictures. However mine will be in a different font all together.
However it will also , in some way or another, pay homage to Kurt's Own K tattoo, which he did himself on his right forearm (he was a funky lefty!)
these tattoo images came from http://www.vanishingtattoo.com
